The Institute for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim Societies offers the following study programs:
Bachelor's degree programs:
• Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (Major, 120 ECTS),
• Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (Minor, 60 ECTS),
• Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies (Minor, 30 ECTS)
Master's degree programs:
• Islamic Studies and Oriental Literature (Major, 90 ECTS),
• Islamic Studies and Oriental Literature (Minor, 30 ECTS),
• Middle Eastern Studies (Major, 90 ECTS),
• Middle Eastern Studies (Minor, 30 ECTS)
In addition to the minor study programs offered at the Institute, all other programs at the Faculty of Humanities and other faculties of the University of Bern with 30 or 60 ECTS are approved for the major study programs.
